The Institute for the Study of Therapeutic Change (ISTC) is pleased to announce the fourth annual Train the Trainers conference to be held in Chicago, Illinois (USA) from August 3rd through August 7th, 2009. This intensive, hands-on training represents the first step in becoming a recognized trainer in the Client Directed, Outcome Informed approach. As the title of the event implies, emphasis will be placed on preparing participants to provide training, consultation, and supervision to therapists, agencies, and healthcare systems in the United States and abroad under the aegis of ISTC. Over the five-day period, participants will receive detailed instruction on:  | The core principles, practices, and empirical foundation of Client-Directed, Outcome-Informed (CDOI) work |  | Reading, understanding, critiquing, and conveying research on "what works" in mental health and substance abuse treatment |  | Effective strategies for presenting CDOI to therapists, agencies, and funders |
